More and More Boys' room Ideas

You and your child will be happiest with a room that functions for both of you. Determine the room's
functionality by clarifying what activities will take place there. That will dictate whether your kids' room colors
need to restful and playful, conducive to sleep and
studying, or inspiring and fun.

When it comes to kids' bedroom paint ideas, forget pink for girls and blue for boys. Instead, create dynamic color palettes for rooms that can take your children from their first steps to their first driving lesson.
Color palettes can easily adapt to changing tastes and styles without breaking your budget – making them an easy way to adapt your home to your kids' bedroom ideas as they grow and change.

Kids Nutrition: Bananas

The banana is a fruit which can be found in more than five hundred varieties in different parts of the world. The banana plant is the largest plant in the world which does not have a stem made of wood. These banana plants belong to the same botanical family as that of lilies, palms and orchids. A cluster of bananas will consist of at least ten to twenty bananas and such a bunch is usually known as a hand. Every banana which belongs to a hand is known as a finger.

Smart Ideas for enjoyable birthday party with cost predictions

Before you decide on the theme, location, and other party details, figure out a realistic budget. Remember that the birthday party is going to last for a few short hours, but the repercussions of spending more money than you can afford could last far longer. Once you have a handle on how much your family can stomach financially, then you can start brainstorming ideas for a fun-filled, creative party that your child will remember for years to come.

Cheap birthday party for your child

It seems like children's birthday parties are rivaling weddings when it comes to cost. But when it comes down to it, most children are pretty happy with simple birthday celebrations. Here are five ideas for keeping birthday party costs cheap -- without sacrificing fun.

Dress your boy In Style

Ed Hardy, Puma, and Lacoste are some of the hottest brands in clothing for boys right now. For parents wanting to dress their boys in style, these are the brands to choose. And for good reasons. Good brands simply reflect good parenting of children. As odd as that sounds, when people see children dressed in Lacoste or Ed Hardy, they assume parents are successful and take good care of their boys. Dress your children in these styles to become the hippest parents around.

How to pick out the perfect curtains for your kids

To decorate your children’s bedroom can take a lot out of you. As parents, you might feel that your ideas are the best for your child’s bedroom. However, that is not the case.
You’re thinking about decorating your children’s bedroom will be entirely different from theirs. Finally, when your child’s bedroom has been decorated, it will look like your bedroom.

Traveling with kids

Here are some items I think would be pretty useful when traveling with children:

A stroller gate check bag

If you're traveling by plane and bringing a stroller, you are sometimes allowed to bring it with you to the gate and check it there, but sometimes it will have to be checked with the rest of your luggage. Often, it will then have to be put into a gigantic plastic bag and put with the special luggage. A stroller gate check bag can make it a lot easier to pack up your stroller, and it can also protect it (at least a bit) from the rough treatment it might receive in the luggage hold.

A car seat travel accessory

I have only brought a car seat on a flight once, and found it to be something of a hassle (partly because one of the airlines we traveled with allowed it on board, and another didn't). However, when traveling with a baby or young toddler it can definitely make the airplane seat comfier for them. And this contraption will make it a lot easier to take the car seat with you on your trip.

A kid-sized travel mattress

When my kids were babies, I usually brought along a fleece blanket that I could spread on the floor or on a seat wherever we went for them to lay on and sleep on. A travel mattress would have been a good option too, especially since it could also be used at your destination, if you're staying in a hotel or with friends or relatives.

A nursing cover

Breastfeeding is a very convenient way to feed your baby when you're traveling: no accessories to pack, no washing up (unless you count your nursing bra/nursing pads...), and no microwave needed. (I did the bottle-travel with my oldest who never learned to latch and the breastfeeding with my younger one: both ways work just fine on a plane, but yes, breastfeeding was easier.) A nursing cover is a great way to get some privacy for you and your baby when it's time to eat.

Reusable snack containers

I'm a big believer in bringing snacks along on flights, and the best way to do that is in some kind of packable, crush-resistant, reusable containers.

A kids' book

I'm sneaking this in here, because a good book can be a great travel accessory on board, at the airport, or at bedtime.

Comfy travel pillows

No matter what kind of pillows you bring on board, it is difficult for adults and kids to sleep comfortably in economy class. But a travel pillow can definitely help. There are inflatable ones (I like these because they're easy to pack), and others made of memory foam or other materials.

A portable DVD player

This is an item I frequently consider buying, but haven't quite gotten around to acquiring; partly because of price, and partly because it makes for a lot of electronics to carry around for a flight. This Tmvel 9" PAL/NTSC All Region Free Code Free Zone Free Multi-Region Portable DVD Player does look good though, especially it Play Any Region DVD 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,0.

ID Wristbands

This is one of those items you hope you don't really need, but maybe it would be a good idea to get, just in case. I was thinking it would be especially handy if you're going to somewhere big and busy, like Disneyland or other amusement parks or resorts. You simply write down your contact information on a piece of paper that is inside the band, and then your child just wears it (and you hope it will never, ever have to looked at by other people...).

Kids In the Kitchen

Once your child can read and is confident in the kitchen, he may start making menu suggestions (don't be surprised if most of them are sweet!) or even wanting to cook dinner for the family - many children start by wanting to replicate their favorite dinner.

Sharing your kitchen with your child encourages an interest in cooking and food, and is the best way to encourage lifelong healthy eating habits.

If he pulls out a cookbook and settles on a dish that requires 15 ingredients and 3 hours prep time, try not to dampen his enthusiasm by rejecting his offer to cook for you, just try instead to steer him towards something more doable, pointing out time/ ingredient restraints rather than his lack of experience making soufflés!

Take your child along when you buy fruit and vegetables. Point out to him what's in season and what's not. If nothing else, this may finally stop him from endlessly asking for blueberries in the dead of winter.

Your child will learn all sorts of things when s/he's in the kitchen with you - how to follow instructions; how to read a recipe; how to measure and weigh ingredients; how to use kitchen implements with care; how to whisk, peel grate, fold and dice, just to name a few.

Boys' room Ideas

Some time ago we’ve shared with you some wonderful girls room design ideas and now we want to share a bunch of wonderful boys room design ideas. It wasn’t easy to gather so many of them because there are much more girls bedrooms designed by professional interior designers. Probably that’s because a lot of girls dream about fairy tale living space and boys care a bit less about their rooms. Although it’s still great when your boy or boys have an awesome room, right? Anyway, we hope you’ll enjoy looking at these photos and will find some interesting ideas for your kids room.

How to Regulate Your Kids' Viewing Habits

There's nothing terribly wrong with kids watching TV. Watching television has its benefits, but it also has its own disadvantages, especially when one watches too much. It has been shown that children who watch too much television are most likely to develop childhood obesity, show signs of aggressive behavior and have problems learning in school. They tend to have less energy for other productive things, and they are also likely to engage in risky behaviors as they grow older.
